So after the disappointment of the "Bald Eagle Days" BS - we decided to go driving along the river to look for some bald eagles in various parks, etc. They were not too hard to find - the pics are a sample of what Jamey was able to take without taking some of the trails further into the woods (due to the cold and a sleepy toddler). Thankfully, the part of the afternoon helped to make up for the crappy experience earlier - especially when we saw one eagle eating a fish in a tree RIGHT next to the parking lot! We are hoping we can go out eagle watching again soon some weekend - maybe leaving Mackenzie with a grandma for a bit - so we can so a bit more exploring on trails...cauz, yes - we are nerds like that. But enjoy the pics! (and learn from our experience and do not be fooled by "Bald Eagle Days' next year!!!!!)
