If you look closely....you can catch a glimpse of the stripper we snuck into Karree's bridal shower last weekend....

Mackenzie and her 'Munks

So Mackenzie has discovered the joys of the Alvin & the Chipmunks movie...which Daddy even bought the set which came with a set of stuffed Chipmunk toys as well. (which you can see are quite popular). Earlier this weekend, Mackenzie and I were shopping in Walmart and when we got closer to the holiday section - we heard the "Christmas Time is near...Me, I want a hula hoop" song by the Chipmunks. Mackenzie immediately froze, put her hand up to her ear and said "ohhh - Mommy, I heard it! Chipmunks - where are you?" Then when Dave yells for Alvin in the song - she did the same thing "Alvin - where are you? Oh no, Alvin!" It was too cute. We did go looking for the Chipmunks to appease her, but Chipmunks items are quite hard to find. And fyi - she says Alvin - Al-Bin, which is quite cute and Chipmunks comes out "MonkMonxs" with a strong x sound on the end. When she first started talking about them...I worried she was developing a lips!

Super Special Friend

In addition to turning two this past weekend, Mackenzie also was selected as the "super special" friend at day care because she has demonstrated such helpful and caring behavior to her friends!! She was so proud of herself, as our Mommy & Daddy, Grandma's & Grandpa's too! Here she is showing off her certificate at daycare.

our birthday girl

Some pics from the "tutu" party. And for those who were unaware, the unofficial party theme was horses - "pink and horseys" were the only two things Mackenzie asked for. And both pink and horses were delivered by her friends and family!

the big #2

Here the invites, created by Mommy! for Mackenzie's birthday party this past weekend. I can admit that I am quite proud of myself for these. :)

Snip, Snip a Roo

So tonight, Mommy made good on her promise that she would cut Mackenzie's hair when she turned 2 years old. Mackenzie was so good through the whole process that I didn't even get sad thinking about how big she is that she needs a hair cut!!! She definatly enjoyed sitting in the car, watching Dora and blowing bubbles....the true kiddie spa services!! And I will admit her hair looks so cute now - nice and even, full and curly. Although I was a bit shocked when the stylist told me her hair was dry and needed conditioner.....she finally has enough hair to warrant a hair cut and it is dry already?? (and fyi - finding a no tear kiddie conditioner for curly hair was not as easy as you would think - nothing like miles of selections adults have). Anyway - here is the photo timeline of the big hair cut....
