"I lobe you, ducks"

That is "Mackenzie" for I love you, ducks....
seen her, helping give a duck a bath and she as lavished love and kisses on it.

play your "tar"

Mackenzie demonstrates her imagination, by playing her guitar.
And everytime we try to hide/take away the guitar...she finds it and gets it back out. I am not thrilled about her playing with electric equipment, but at least it is not plugged (except to itself). I suppose we can thank the Wiggles for this, since those are the songs she usually performs as well! (I am currently being serenaded as I post)

The Flowergirl

Congratulations Jon & Karree!
proud parents of adorable flowergirl
(who was not too keen on cooperating with photo requests)
showing off pretty wedding hair do and her "crown"
the most darling flowergirl ever!!
Practicing sprinkling the flowers

Ready to go down...she did so good, and was met with a chorus of "ooohhhs"

The Exit of the Church

too bad my camera battery died shortly into reception, so more photos are waiting from when I can get files from in-laws cameras or others share them!

Flowergirl preparations

At the rehersal dinner - Mackenzie wanted NO part of going down the aisle - she had to be lead by Mommy the whole way as she cried and screamed "NO". So needless to say, we are all a bit nervous about how it will go tomorrow for the real thing. Unfortunatly, no pics were taken of those breakdowns, however there is video if I would learn how to upload it. But at dinner, she had a great time running around and playing with everyone, so we are hoping that will help her feel more comfortable tomorrow. She is getting ready for the big flowergirl part - as she practiced toasting with her new Dora glass and was thrilled to get her nails painted pretty as well. When we have been talking about what she will do as a flowergirl, she did tell me "no Mommy, I frow the flowers - no sprinkle!"

Check out my "slippers"

Due to the current arctic cold here, all warm winter wear is a must when going outside...and Mackenzie has been enjoying her "hat and slippers" - see her showing her newest set off!!

Foster the Fairy

Foster says:
First, fire the dang babysitters that thought it was funny to do this to me. I don't care if they are family - it is degrading to my masculine self.
Second, if it is not bad enough that they make me wear fairy wings, now here you go taking pictures of it AND posting it on the internet for all to see. How is a dog to keep his dignity around here??

Flowergirl in Training

Sadie Jane (alas, a little too old) attempts to teach Mackenzie what a good flowergirl should do.
She is probably going to kill me, but I can't help it - this picture cracks me up!

Mackenzie's Wrath

A sample of the things we find around the house on a regular basis:

Turning the kitchen into her personal office....

Her own stove serves as a great "catch-all" storage container...not pictured, the box of cereal she hid in there.

pretend cooking with Foster's food

Note: photographic evidence only a sampling of one day's discoveries

Happy Noodles to You!

Welcome to 2009! New year, new look here on the family blog. Hard to believe the pics were almost a year old! When I looked at them, I was amazed at what a baby Mac still looked like...nothing like the sassy girl we deal with dailiy! I was also embarassed at my month hiatus of posts as well, so I do apologize. Unfortunatly, I had the stomach flu and then Mackenzie got croup on Christmas Eve, and she looked so miserable so often - I couldn't bring myself to post a picture. But thankfully, all is better here as we celebrated "happy noodles" according to Mackenzie and are gearing up for the big nupitals this weekend - as "Aunt Jon & Karree" get married!! And I bet you can't guess who the flowergirl is!!!!! (no, it is not Jamey - although he may end up having to go down the aisle with her if necessary) I am DYING to post pics of Mackenzie in her dress, but have decided I will wait until after the wedding. So stay tuned. Above, the cool girl shows off her Dora glasses, which she insisted on wearing all night because I have my glasses on.
PS - bet you can't tell by the look on their faces - but the cat is Mackenzie's newest favorite toy, much to Squirrel's dismay.
