Eggs, Eggs & More Eggs

So Grandma Jane dyed eggs with the kids....

Then Grandpa Richard hid them in the front yard on Easter morning...
(funny side note: I had just told Jamey that morning that Jane NEVER hid the actual hard boiled eggs for us b/c she was scared we would forget one and it would rot.....but the grandkids had 3 dozen hard boiled eggs hidden for them...guess that is what grandkids do to your parents)

>

Upon finding all the eggs, Will & Mackenzie began to launch them out of the wagon. Obviousely, hard boiled eggs didn't withstand the launching process well - so Mackenzie began to make egg salad on the sidewalk with them.

Good times and good laughs for all.

Hoppy Easter

Mackenzie meets the Easter Bunny.
Funny, as we were leaving - she turned to blow the Easter Bunny a kiss good-bye.

Bunny Hunt

So Saturday, Mackenzie participated in her first Easter Egg hunt of this season. Unfortunatly, it was very crowded and too many people meant pushing, shoving and not much candy/eggs for everyone (and not by this mommy, either - I watched in horror instead as she got shoved out of the way by an adult trying to get a stupid Tootsie Roll). Anyway - she was none the wiser to the poor manners and still had a great time...and is still talking about it days later. She calls the Easter egg's "bunny eggs" and the hunt was the "bunny hunt". Tonight as I lay with her a bedtime, she told me she wanted to do "bunny hunt again - but I no find the bunny!" too cute.

*and as you notice Mackenzie's cute "best bunnies" shirt...also important to note that this weekend, she also told me that Gracie was her best friend. awww. I hope they will always love each other as they do now...even through the teenaged years.
