A Conversation with Mackenzie...

So our baby Einstein exersaucer has been on loan to baby Ava, but was returned to us today. I had it in the backseat of my car as Mackenzie and I drove home. I knew as soon as she saw it, she would be thrilled at the latest toy for her babies. Her is a snippet of our conversation:

Mackenzie: "Dis go inside my house? to play with?"

Mommy: "yes. it will go in the house. Who can use it?"

Mackenzie: "I don't know!"

Mommy: "Can Foster use it?"

Mackenzie: " No, Foster silly. Too big!"

Mommy: "Can kitty use it?" (remembering how the cat loved to lounge underneath it)

Mackenzie: "No kitty!"

Mommy: "Can Mackenzie use it?"

Mackenzie: "YES! I play in it. And my babies."

Mommy: "Can Mommy play in it?"

Mackenzie: "Oh no! Mommy, you too big. You no play in it." repeats in a louder voice "No Mommy too big!" (guess there is more motivation for dieting - I am too big for the exersaucer)

"No Daddy play."

Mommy: "Mackenzie, it is a toy for BABIES. You are too big"

Mackenzie: "Yeah - I big girl, no baby. Wear underwears like Gracie."

(please note she may wear underwear, but not successfully...as many of you know - she flushed a poopy pair of Dora panties down the toilet this weekend, then stood over the toilet yelling "Dora, where you go?" The septic tank had to love that.)

Mackenzie Jean, pictured here enjoying the hotly discussed Exersaucer two years ago (almost to the day! - thanks to digital photo stamping)....my how time flies.

Why so Serious?

Mackenzie is inspired by the Joker during art time at day care.
Or she is attempting to grow a handlebar moustache at a very young age...

"I lobe you, ducks"

That is "Mackenzie" for I love you, ducks....
seen her, helping give a duck a bath and she as lavished love and kisses on it.

play your "tar"

Mackenzie demonstrates her imagination, by playing her guitar.
And everytime we try to hide/take away the guitar...she finds it and gets it back out. I am not thrilled about her playing with electric equipment, but at least it is not plugged (except to itself). I suppose we can thank the Wiggles for this, since those are the songs she usually performs as well! (I am currently being serenaded as I post)

too bad my camera battery died shortly into reception, so more photos are waiting from when I can get files from in-laws cameras or others share them!

Flowergirl preparations

At the rehersal dinner - Mackenzie wanted NO part of going down the aisle - she had to be lead by Mommy the whole way as she cried and screamed "NO". So needless to say, we are all a bit nervous about how it will go tomorrow for the real thing. Unfortunatly, no pics were taken of those breakdowns, however there is video if I would learn how to upload it. But at dinner, she had a great time running around and playing with everyone, so we are hoping that will help her feel more comfortable tomorrow. She is getting ready for the big flowergirl part - as she practiced toasting with her new Dora glass and was thrilled to get her nails painted pretty as well. When we have been talking about what she will do as a flowergirl, she did tell me "no Mommy, I frow the flowers - no sprinkle!"
