from the mouth of the babe.....
Things we have heard recently out of Mackenzie's mouth:
- after sneezing, "uh-oh! It's got HA-choo on it."
- The answer to any Why question: Why did you cry at dance? "'Cauz"
- when things are really good, they are "fancastic"
- as we are driving and see swingsets, etc: "I go to that park later" (this includes a neighbor's vegetable garden)

shoes, shoes and more shoes
Is this a lot on Ebay??? No
Does Jamey know I took this picture??? No
Does any one little girl require this many shoes for one season??? questionable!

The reason behind the picture: as I was picking up around the house, I felt like I kept finding an ungodly number of Mackenzie shoes. After two trips with arms laden to her room, I decided to line them all up to really see what we had. Which is apparently alot! I will probably be kicking myself for starting this addicting habit this early....but I at least I can say that she comes by it naturally!!
(please note the Snow White high heel on far left...Mackenzie enjoyed matching and lining up the shoes and was INSISTANT that her dress up heels be included)
a day in the life of our nature girl
First - help Daddy weed out the front flower bed (please note: MORTIFIED at how overgrown it quickly became after recent rain falls).
See - even Foster helps pull the weeds.
Then, off to pick some flowers.
Here is one just for you!!
Lastly, use binoculars to look at the birds.
Just another day of being Mackenzie Jean & exploring the world around me!

gone fishin'
in the words of Grandpa Richard, "a bad day fishing is better than any day at work." So this weekend, Mackenzie was introduced to the fishing experience. She did enjoy it but got restless with the waiting part. Jamey did catch a fish, but unfortunatly Grandpa & I were off with the camera - so no good photo (though he did take one with his phone). Mackenzie did enjoy playing in the tackle box, reeling the fishing poles and drinking full cans of pop from the cooler. All and all, a good time had by everyone.
