Prayer Request for Parker

Our dear close friends, Mat & Sarah, welcomed their son - Parker James in December. In March, they found out Parker has a rare blood disorder called Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis - which mimics cancer. The disease is in many parts of his little body, including his vertebrae, his ribs, his lungs, and his liver. Starting this week - Parker will begin an intensive series of chemotherapy to help fight the disease. The treatment provides a good chance of curing the disease in Parker. Parker is a happy boy who loves to cuddle and smile.
Please keep Parker and his family in your continued thoughts and prayers during their long road of treatment.

Everyone loves THIS Irish girl

Happy Belated St. Patty's day! Unfortunatly - it wasn't a huge celebration in our house this year, as Mackenzie got sick late Sunday night and we ended up visiting the ER at 3:45 am on St. Patty's Day. However - we did get spectacular service at the ER and once she settled down and stopped crying - Mackenzie was quite the hit, running around waving to everyone and saying HI. (Part of the new found energy may have come from the adrenalin they gave her to help her breath, because she hadn't slept AT ALL before that). Official diagnosis - Croup & an ear infection. When Mackenzie finally woke up mid day yesterday - she insisted on wearing her special Lady Luck St. Patty's shirt - but she looked so miserable and sickly - I just couldn't bring myself to take any pictures of her. :( But even her little hospital gown was green!

Dear Friends,

I picked this just for you.
XOXO, Mackenzie

PS - I am 15 monthes old today! :)

Happy President's Day

Just some cute pics to show how Mackenzie and I spent a nice day together to celebrate President's day - we went shopping, where she helped push the cart around the store and played at home. We were dog-sititng for Uncle Jon's dog, Guinness - and Mackenzie LOVED his kennel. Please also note her new "big girl" Nike shox shoes - which she loves to run in! And also notice how LONG the piggy tails are becoming as well.....like I said earlier - such a big girl! And her spiky, curled piggy tails ALWAYS gain attention and compliments when we are out and about.

Growing Up

Every day - Mackenzie becomes more little girl and less baby. Her newest grown up thing is insisting on using a spoon to feed herself. The pics show her eating yogurt - and I will atest that she did not stop until she had cleaned the containter out! And each spoonful is typically accompanied by her announcement "Mmmm - Yum!" Unfortunatly - I am not sure how much she actually ate as opposed to wearing - as you can see from the last picture. But practice will make perfect.
