Day Trippin'

So last Friday found us on an impromptu day trip to the Lincoln Park Zoo in downtown Chicago....

She really enjoyed it - I swear!!

despite an episode of carsickness, and being rained on - we all had a fabulous day!!!

Church School

So this week, Mackenzie attended Vacation Bible School at our neighborhood church. This was her first time and she LOVED it!!!!!!! All we have heard about from her is her church school activities, teachers, friends, lessons, etc. She is going to be so sad when she realizes it is over. But I am SO HAPPY that she had a wonderful time, did well and learned something in the process.

Even if she didn't participate well tonight - it was well worth it, when earlier this week she told me "she prays because God is in her heart". awwwww. And i am hoping I can get some pictures of her with the different craft projects they did as well, so there may be more to follow...

Mackenzie's Popsicle party

So awhile ago, Mackenzie invited all of her day care friends to "go to my Grandma Jane's and eat popsicles." So I of course, had some fun with this, and called to inquire about that party to an unsuspecting Grandma Jane...which lead to her idea to take popsicles to daycare for Mackenzie and her friends one day.

and anyone who knows Jane, is not surprised to see that she brought festive red, white & blue popsicles.
